The Newborn Experience
As your Chicago newborn photographer, my goal is to capture your first beautiful memories together and make them last a lifetime. The tiny features that you obsess over during your late night feedings and the cute little smiles that appear from a gas bubble. Your most precious memories are handled with tender, loving care.
Sit back and relax as I handle all the details. I have a collection more complete than the little mermaid of fabrics, headbands, bonnets and outfits thoughtfully curated for you. Each session starts with pampering for you, mama, as you probably haven't focused on you since your newest little one was born. I will bring you back to YOU with complimentary, professional hair and make-up while I swaddle and pose your sweet baby for their individual photos.
Sibling poses, parent poses and your first family portrait are all a part of my plan. Your session will last up to 4 hours to give your little one the time and attention they need.
Capture the new beginnings
If you're in your second trimester, then it's time to book your session. The first step is to fill out the form below. I will call you within 24 business hours of your submission for a quick chat and to answer all of your questions. We will make sure I am available in the time frame you are requesting since I take a limited number of sessions per month so that I can give my best to each client and ensure a great experience!
We will talk about your vision for your session and I will explain my process. A session fee is required to reserve session date and time (which is schedule tentatively one week after your due date) and will prompt us to the next step: scheduling your consultation.

During your consultation, we will meet in person and I will get to know you and your family. You will become familiar with the studio and get to peek at all the cute accessories you can choose from. A great session is well thought - out and styled ahead of time. I want to hear all of your wants and needs for these special memories and I want to bring them to life.
3. The session!
You will feel prepared thanks to our consultation and my pre-session prep guide. Now, take a breath and some time for yourself! Your session starts with professional hair and make-up at the studio. During your glam session, I will pose and wrap baby for their individual portraits. Once you are all glam and ready to go (about an hour and a half of pampering!), your family will arrive and we will start with the sibling, parent and family portraits.
Your session will last up to 4 hours to give you, your baby, and your family the time, attention and care that you deserve!
4. Viewing day!
One week after your session, we will meet again to view your images! Cue the tears as we watch your session unfold in a beautiful highlight slideshow. This is when you will purchase your photos. You will fall in love with your favorite images and pick which collection and products work best for you.
5. gallery & product delivery
Love, care and attention go into every detail to ensure that I am delivering the highest quality. Your online gallery will be available to you in 2 weeks following your viewing appointment. Your beautiful prints and products will be ready for pick-up between 4-6 weeks after ordering.

We recently did a newborn photo session with Melinda Nicole Photography and WOW, she is phenomenal! She captured amazing shots of not only our baby solo, but also the shots with her siblings and the whole family as well. She was extremely patient and gentle with our baby who didn’t want to sleep the whole time, and handled her spit up and other issues with grace. It was so nice to sit back and watch while she handled the session with ease. Melinda has gorgeous wraps, headbands, and props in her studio and made sure she used the colors and set ups I really wanted. She really has an eye for detail and carefully manipulates her lighting and subjects for beautiful results. It is clear the Melinda really cares about her work and the happiness of her clients.
