The maternity Experience

Every pregnancy is a beautiful testament to how much of herself a mother gives. Photographing you during your pregnancy is a reminder of your strength, abilities and beauty.
As your Chicago maternity photographer, my goal is to pamper and celebrate you the way you deserve. Just as you are all in for your family, I am all in when it comes to photographing you: professional hair and make-up, beautiful maternity gowns, styling and posing guidance and endless possibilities for what we can create together.

There is no love greater than a mother's love.

The first step is when you fill out the form below. I will call you within 24 business hours of your submission for a quick chat to discuss and fill you in on some details. We will make sure I am available in the time frame you are requesting. I take a limited number of sessions per month so that I can give my best to each client and ensure a great experience!
We will find the perfect date and time for your session and a small session fee is paid to secure your date.

2. consultation

During your consultation, we will meet in person and play dress up as we decide which dresses you would like to wear from my client closet. We will talk about the backdrops I will use for your session and I will show you the products I offer and pricing in more detail.
I will help style the rest of your family and we will talk about the flow of the day. My goal is that you feel prepared and well-informed during the entire process.

3. The session!

You're the celebrity for the day! Whether we are meeting in the studio or on-location, your session starts with professional hair and make-up. You will look and feel confident and excited! This is your day, so sit back and enjoy while I guide you through every step. Your session will last up to 90 minutes to make sure we cover everything you envisioned!

4. Viewing day!

One week after your session, we will meet again to view your images! Cue the tears as we watch your session unfold in a beautiful highlight slideshow. This is when you will purchase your photos. You will fall in love with your favorite images and pick which collection and products work best for you.

5. gallery & product delivery

Love, care and attention go into every detail to ensure that I am delivering the highest quality. Your online gallery will be available to you in 2 weeks following your viewing appointment. Your beautiful prints and products will be ready for pick-up between 4-6 weeks after ordering.

We recently did a newborn photo session with Melinda Nicole Photography and WOW, she is phenomenal! She captured amazing shots of not only our baby solo, but also the shots with her siblings and the whole family as well. She was extremely patient and gentle with our baby who didn’t want to sleep the whole time, and handled her spit up and other issues with grace. It was so nice to sit back and watch while she handled the session with ease. Melinda has gorgeous wraps, headbands, and props in her studio and made sure she used the colors and set ups I really wanted. She really has an eye for detail and carefully manipulates her lighting and subjects for beautiful results. It is clear the Melinda really cares about her work and the happiness of her clients. I am so glad we chose MNP to capture this special time for our family! I highly recommend her!
